Boarding School – Why it is best for your child

Pine Crest believes that education supported with lifestyle development makes for the ideal learning model. Our boarding creates a continuum for developing minds. Tutoring, boarding and lodging, clothing, medication and monitoring of routine are all taken care of by the school.

From our experience, we have observed that achieving emotional stability, having healthy eating habits and sleep routines help to accomplish academic goals and adapt in a community to live a wholesome life in today’s challenging world. After school- time is used for remedial classes, sports and play activities and extracurricular activities such as dramatics and elocution. Annual shows by the school allow parents to witness their child’s development during the year . Boarding school controls the exposure of children to needless information that a young developing mind can do without and also provides activities and nutrition to create a healthy lifestyle. Children are free to go home to their families on holidays listed by the school, to spend quality time at home with no pressures of homework and school.

We work on the premise that each child is born with a unique potential and it is upto the school to unlock it. Boarding also enables parents to live a guilt free work life, knowing that their child is being nurtured in a homely, stress-free environment, away from home.

Be there –when people need you- set aside distraction and judgments- to be fully present is a sign of respect

Choose your attitude– choose how you respond to life, not just react. Moment to moment awareness is key. Help the people who depend on you. Help yourself to be more effective.

Make your daysimple gestures of thoughtfulness, thanks and recognition make people feel appreciated and valued. When you make someone else feel good, you feel good too

Playit is a mindset that allows you to throw yourself with enthusiasm and creativity into whatever you are doing in a way that is natural and not forced.

Pine Crest believes in the worth of the individual. It accepts the premise that each child is born with a unique potential and it is up to the school to unlock it. Pine Crest is able to accomplish this by recognising and addressing a child’s challenges while discovering and developing his or her personal strengths. We believe in the strength of tradition in our values and our teaching: we give special attention to school, family and friends. We respect our environment and pledge to do our best to use it sensibly and leave a better world for posterity.

We believe in the continual pursuit of excellence and effectiveness.

pinecrests integrates innovative educational strategies and technology to empower students to become effective learners.

ACADEMICS

The Primary program (Nursery To Class 1)

Developing strong foundational skills in reading and mathematics is at the heart of the primary programme. Our teachers teach small groups of children which allows for individual attention.

THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Class II to Class V)

Our teachers understand the development continuum and use our scope and sequence of skills to guide students in the basics to develop writing skills and math instructions. The children are also introduced to the sciences and secondary languages.

THE MIDDLE SCHOOL (Class VI to Class VIII)

Our middle school programme focuses on preparing our students for a variety of high school options, while continuing to remediate and reinforce each student’s foundational skills in all areas of strategic learning. We also work with parents to help them find the best possible fit for their child after they graduate from Pine Crest.
